Magic Vinyl Printing: Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

I was given a very low price quote on some screen printed banners. Since the price was so low, I decided to have them screened. All of the sudden, many very expensive extra hidden costs appeared out of nowhere! Is there a set-up charge, screen charge, or any other extra charge for additional colors on your banners like there are on screen prints and vinyl cut banners?

A:

No. In fact, with MAGIC Vinyl Banners, you can use as many colors, images, and special effects as you like at no additional charge.

Q:

Do your vinyl banners wrinkle and reflect light like the low-grade poly banners?

A:

NO. MAGIC Vinyl Banners have a matte finish which allows the image of the banner to project without the unsightly reflections commonly attributed to poly banners.

Q:

I purchased a banner from a local print shop and when the banner got wet, all the ink washed off! Will your inks stand up to the weather and water?

A:

Yes, the inks on MAGIC Vinyl Banners are waterproof. As and added plus, our inks are also U.V. protected.

Q:

I just received a banner. When I hung it outdoors, the grommets ripped right out of the plastic! Can I use your banners outdoors without worrying?

A:

Yes, you probably have a poly banner or a low quality variation of a vinyl banner. Poly is not a strong material, neither is the inexpensive paper-thin vinyl that some companies use. MAGIC Vinyl Banners use billboard-grade vinyl which is the toughest on the market.

Q:

I had a banner produced by another printer and the edges were all bunched up. How do you finish the edges on your banners?

A:

If you sew through any type or text it will look distorted. The sewing bunches up the material. With MVP's new state of the art welded edges the banner will have a crisp, clean edge with no distortion.

Q:

I just received a very low price for a large backdrop banner. The price seems too good to be true. What are the possible reasons?

A:

For a large backdrop banner, the last thing you want is a poly banner, which is a very inexpensive banner to print. Why? Poly banners are highly reflective. As a backdrop banner poly banners will reflect lighting and flash photography. Poly banners are more prone to wrinkling, unlike our Fiber-Reinforced Matte-Finish Magic Vinyl.
